Conservation and Forestry Titles in the 2014 Farm Bill help protect natural resources by funding a variety of voluntary partnerships and cooperative conservation efforts between the U.S. Department of Agriculture and private landowners.
The Farm Bill represents the single largest federal investment in private-lands conservation. It funds programs that improve air and water quality, recharge groundwater aquifers, and create fish and wildlife habitat, thereby providing meaningful benefits to all Americans and taxpayers. The Agricultural Act of 2014, passed in February, is a five-year farm bill.
The following groups supported passage of the Farm Bill: American Farmland Trust, Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, Ducks Unlimited, Izaak Walton League of America, National Association of Conservation Districts, National Wild Turkey Federation, National Wildlife Federation, Pheasants Forever, Quail Forever, The Nature Conservancy, Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership, and the World Wildlife Fund.
