With over 75% of the Northern Great Plains managed by private landowners, ranchers are important stewards and partners in maintaining habitat and corridors for wildlife. Some ranchers are finding additional value in the unique wildlife of the region. This video features the Switzer family who ranch in the Nebraska Sandhills and have initiated the Prairie Chicken Festival to celebrate and educate people about this wonderful bird.
